Quicksilver 35-8M0162830 4-Stroke Outboard Oil Filter

This screw-on oil filter delivers reliable protection for Mercury and Mariner 4-stroke outboards, helping extend engine life by keeping oil cleaner longer. Its anti-drain back valve prevents dry starts by ensuring consistent lubrication from startup.
It is recommended that you change your fuel filter after every 100 hours of normal use or minimally once per season.

Mercury Oil Filter Installation Instructions:

Unscrew old filter and clean mounting base. Be sure old gasket is removed from mounting base
Apply a thin coat of oil to filter gasket. Make sure the gasket is seated properly in base of the filter
Screw on until the gasket contacts the base. Tighten 1 - 1-1/4 turn
Use an acceptable filter wrench if necessary. Do NOT exceed 1 - 1-1/4 turn
Refill crank case and run the engine while checking for leaks
Check oil level
